I had a quick look for threads about this subject but they're all very old and not very post-filled. So here some of the rss feeds I follow.
The Universe Today. [rss (http://feedproxy.google.com/universetoday/pYdq)]
Full of great stuff about space exploration and research.
The Geek stuff. [rss (http://feeds2.feedburner.com/TheGeekStuff?format=xml)]
Has some good tutorials on very geeky things, such as vi, ssh, and such.
Slashdot. [rss (http://rss.slashdot.org/Slashdot/slashdot)]
The number one site for Godwin, Soviet Russia and poor car analogies.
Boing Boing. [rss (http://feeds.boingboing.net/boingboing/iBag)]
A very busy feed which purports to show you wonderful, and usually geeky, things. Occasional articles about moral issues, most of the time from regular author Cory Doctorow.
Stephen Fry. [rss (http://www.stephenfry.com/blog/feed/)]
He seems to spend most of his time twittering nowadays, but it's always an interesting read whenever he gets around to posting stuff. His endorsement of Linux (http://www.stephenfry.com/blog/2008/02/01/deliver-us-from-microsoft/) [stephenfry.com] had people in a frenzy for weeks.
Linux Today. [xml (http://feeds2.feedburner.com/linuxtoday/linux?format=xml)]
General news and how-tos around Linux. Has a tendency to post way too many "My first experience with Ubuntu" and "Top ten reasons to switch to Linux" and "How to install Ubuntu" articles, but there is an awful lot of helpful stuff buried in amongst all those links too.
IPtegrity. [rss (http://www.iptegrity.com/index.php?option=com_rss&feed=RSS2.0&no_html=1)]
Brilliant place for anybody who cares about people's rights online, net neutrality, and online censorship.
Boycott Novell. [rss (http://boycottnovell.com/wp-rss2.php)]
A controversial choice of feed for some. This guy's style is attack-dog through and through. Well let's just say Roy is prone to sensationalism, and many people question his honesty in reporting. Despite that, he is very good at referencing and linking his articles to the sources, allowing you to go and form your own opinion on the matter, which I encourage anybody finding themselves at his site to go and do. He also spends every moment of his waking life digging for new news, which often means his stories appear hours before other news aggregation services.
Techdirt. [rss (http://feeds.techdirt.com/techdirt/feed)]
A great place for news and analysis of things related to all things internet. Mike is very keen on creative commons, and of the free culture movement in general.
Groklaw. [rdf (http://www.groklaw.net/backend/GrokLaw.rdf)]
Hopefully this place doesn't need an introduction.
The Recording Industry vs The People. [rss (http://recordingindustryvspeople.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss)]
Ray Beckerman's [NewYorkCountryLawyer on Slashdot] site about, well, hopefully it should be obvious.
Torrent Freak. [rss (http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Torrentfreak/)]
Great news site for all things torrent-related. Often gets the heads-up on many legal issues in the waterworks for filesharing.
Kensington Victoria. [rss (http://kensingtonvictoria.com/?feed=rss2)]
Some random guy's blog. Not very verbose, but quite funny.
Cory Doctorow's craphound. [rss (http://craphound.com/?feed=rss2)]
Cory's junkyard for advertising his stuff. Has links to his articles from around the web buried amongst promotional updates for his fiction.
Digital Productions. [rss (http://www.digitalproductions.co.uk/index.php?rss=1)]
Another blog for some guy's venting about copyright, patents and infringement issues, but unlike most this one happens to be surprisingly well-written.
Swan Fungus. [rss (http://www.swanfungus.com/feed)]
A very funny and well-written blog, also posts links to mp3 mixtapes and out-of-print records.
Charlie Brooker's Guardian columns. [rss (http://feeds.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/profile/charliebrooker/rss)]
Brooker's scribblings from the British newspaper. A grumpy old man by all accounts, and one who takes a very dim and no-nonsense view of the world. Swears a lot.
Internet Evolution. [rss (http://www.internetevolution.com/rss_simple.asp)]
Has lots of people discussing ideas for making the internet a better place. They're also not frightened to consider controversial ideas, which is great if you enjoy reading articles that don't conform to your own world-view.
Open. [rss (http://opendotdotdot.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss)]
Glyn Moody's personal blog, with lots of articles about civil liberties, copyrights, patents, free software, censorship etc.
The Astonishing Adventures of Lord Likely. rss (http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheAstonishingAdventuresOfLordLikely)]
Hilarious stories on the very lewd adventures of a Victorian gentleman. Definitely not one for kids!
The Register. [atom (http://www.theregister.co.uk/headlines.atom)]
Random tech news. News comes in thick and fast, though, so you might want to split it up into categories unless you want your head to explode.
Larry Lessig. [xml (http://www.lessig.org/blog/index.xml)]
Another guy who cares about the importance of freedom. Not very active blogger these days, though.
