View Full Version : [ubuntu] Gnome or Ubuntu-Desktop are they the same ?

I am going to look at a friend computer hi has gnome gui to se if we can correct some errors hi is having, I am used to ubuntu desktop...ok I only know ubuntu desktop are they different ?
these 2 types of guis.

GNOME is a desktop manager for Linux. Ubuntu-desktop is the package that install GNOME desktop manager on Ubuntu so yes, they are the same.

You both have same desktop.
