Does anyone know how to make symbolic links that are not tied specifically to a certain machine's path. For instance...
I'm trying to make a gnome icon set and to keep file size down I need to make symbolic links of one icon to name it something else, (uses the same image). When I do this however the link is tied to my machine and will break anytime it's installed on someone else's box.
If I make a link of folder.svg it's link reads...
/home/overlord/new_iconset/scalable/places/folder.svg
While that works fine on my machine. It breaks on anyone elses.
