So if UnixWare is liquidated in a bankruptcy fire sale would this be of interest to a Free Software / Open Source Vendor or to someone looking for a charitable tax benefit by donating the source code to the FSF?

The idea of UnixWare ending up under the GPL as a result of a bankruptcy would be really interesting given the history of SCO's litigation against Free Libre Open Source Software. GNU is not Unix would no longer make any sense.

Wouldn't a link directly to the article (http://www.groklaw.net/article.php?story=2009050519075131) be better than a link to slashdot, or are you trying to get their hit count a little higher. :)

The question remains of who will buy the questionable assets that SCO used to sue everyone?
