I have a dual boot between Windows 7 and XP at school. The next module I am taking needs me to use XP. How can I set it so XP will boot by default? Then when I am done, how can I change it back? I tried BCDEDIT.EXE with no success :(

Yes but dual booting is a relative topic, and they provide off topic threads and titles to be allowed, which he is within. So your dual booting Windows 7 AND Windows XP ? Not sure much about Windows 7 personally.. but here's an article from lifehacker that might help...(pardon me if i misunderstood anything) http://lifehacker.com/5126781/how-to-dual-boot-windows-7-with-xp-or-vista

I have done that, but Windows 7 starts by default and not XP. Up until now that was fine, but I am doing a new module now...

In Vista, there were a couple of third-party apps that let you designate the default OS in the MS boot loader menu: VistaBootPro and EasyBCD. I don't know if either works in Seven, but I believe that EasyBCD does.

Would check the NeoSmart forums website (sponsors of EasyBCD) to find out.

They might work, I wonder if they are frontend GUIs for BCDEDIT, cuz Windows 7 and Vista both use BCDEDIT from what I know.
