I have an External USB Drive that is 500 Gb, made by SimpleTech, which is empty. When attempting to put anything on it I get an error message that reads, 'Unable to mount location' 'Can't mount file'. I checked the permissions and it states, 'The permissions of "USB Drive" could not be determined'. Also after typing 'sudo fdisk -l', it shows the external drive as

Disk /dev/sdb: 500.1 GB, 500107862016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60801 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x136e8628

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System

So there you have it. :confused:
