I'm trying to install Jaunty Jackalope on my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop which is currently running on Windows Vista Service Pack 1. Intrepid Ibex worked without any problems at all. Unfortunately, I get an error message telling me that there is no setup signature when I try to install Jaunty. Worse yet, it takes approximately 30 minutes from when I try to install Ubuntu until I get the error message. I don't get any graphical installation beyond the boot menu either. What do I need to do to get Ubuntu to install properly?

You might have a bad .iso file, which in turn results in a bad install disc. Try downloading a new .iso, preferably a torrent, and re-burn the disc. You might also have to use the "safe graphics mode" at the installations boot menu. Selecting F4 at the boot menu is how you select that option (it may be F3... idk try both to see if either give u the option. Sorry I am slightly unsure off the top of my head, but i digress)
