Well, the screen on my Gateway laptop has finally decided to die an honorable death, so I'm in a process of searching for another laptop.
I have my sights on Acer Aspire 9500 series (Aspire 9500-EWSMI to be exact) with the following hardware configuration:
Graphics: Intel 915 GM/GMS, 910 GML
Wireless: Atheros AR5005G
Wired: Realtec RTL8169/8110 Gigabit ethernet
PCMCIA: ENE Technology CB-712/714/810 (not critical as I don't really have any devices to use with it)
IEEE: Texas instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 (not critical as well)
Sound: Realtec HD Audio
Processor: Intel Celeron M 380 1.6GHz
Are there any issues I should expect with Ubuntu working on the above configuration? Can anyone who has this laptop comment on the Ubuntu experience? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
