Hello all,

I have setup an ubuntu server with Samba so that i can access a specific directory on my Ubuntu box. So after installing Samba
I was able to map my desktop to the server but now when it connects it brings me to a folder that is blank since it is a users home dir.

What I want is to be able to go right to var/www/ dir via Samba from my windows desktop here in my office network.

Instead whats happening is it is bringing me to a folder for my servers username login and I can not go to any other dir/folder above.

Hopeing someone can help me also when I right click on "My Network" (on my windows XP desktop) to map to the drive when I see the server I click it it only gives me an option to map to Home but again I want to go to the dir above home

thanks
