View Full Version : [kubuntu] Order of widgets in panel change upon restart

Hi,

I have a problem with the widgets in a panel: when I restart my system some of them (usually the 10 most recently added or so) appear in random order. This happens to the task bar, the clock and a lot of quick launch icons.

I have separated the task bar from the main panel, and the main panel is placed in the center on the top.

I did not find any known bugs on bugs.kde.org but I can't really believe that I'm the only one experiencing that.

Cheers,

Alex

you need to put it like you want than save the session.

Ok, thanks, but how do I do that?

I can't find such an entry anywhere?

not sure for kubuntu, did you look in the logoff?

Yes, nowhere to be found... I found the session manager in the system settings, however, there is no save this session option.

Anyways, shouldn't this be done automatically since "Restore previous session" is checked?

I'm having the same problem. I haven't investigated it in depth but for me, it seems to happen more when the minimum size of my panel is smaller than the panel is at start-up. It didn't happen when the panel was maximized all the time.

I'm using Jaunty.
