Hi,

I am using in my work Ubuntu 8.10 under VirtualBox and I have my virtual machine all set up and working fine. I am using ntlmaps because I have an ISA proxy and it is working very fine even on Synaptic. The point is I create a Live CD using Remastersys and tried to install it on my home machine (in the same scenario with same version of Virtual Box) except that I have no proxy at home then I removed all configurations from ntlmaps and I can access internet through Firefox but I cannot update my Synaptic. I already selected “Settings – Preferences – Network – Direct connection to the internet” and when I run a “reload” I got a message that is not possible connect to ISA proxy. I also removed the entry on /etc/apt/apt.conf but still don’t working. It seems like the Synaptic still have some cache or configuration that I have no idea what it is.

Anyone can help me please?
