Yo,

I'm just wondering if it's possible to have something similar that works and looks like KDE's Home and Desktop-widgets? I mean this part:

You should see this screenlet:

Thanks! Works very well, but i don't like the stock icons. I can easily live with it, but if anybody knows how to change them, please share. :)

You could just run plasma in conjunction with gnome (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBZI2KLAR4M).

Hmm, interesting! But how much RAM does Plasma use? And i really don't feel like installing the whole KDE-environment just to use some bits from it.

Great idea! Installing the whole KDE system just for some plasmoids (what you can get from gDesklets or similar) doesn't worth it.

"As an added bonus, just to be a **** to you, I have the Chromium web browser working ... [long pause] ... Ah, *****, it crashed."

Personally I never liked the folder view widget.

I would like it if it was easier to arrange icons on the Gnome desktop. For example, on Windows, I can set the horizontal spacing and the vertical spacing of icons. I haven't been able to do this with Nautilus. I vaguely remember being able to do it in KDE 3.5.9, though.

Well, here's my desktop with the screenlet.

I've noticed that the "Folderview"-screenlet is a piece of crap. I crashes all the freakin' time!

I tried KDE's plasmoid, but the wasn't right.. Sooo... Anything else?
