I'm a little confused about the UNR. Is the UNR ONLY for Intel Atom processor included netbooks or is it usable in other computers with other processors as well? My assumption is that it is just optimized for Intel Atom processor netbooks, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Ubuntu Netbook uses the i386 kernel; it will run okay on a non-Atom computer (such as the Celeron-based Asus eee pcs).

ok great, thanks! My girlfriend wants to get away from Vista on her 11 inch Sony laptop (which is SUPER SLOW) but she liked how the menu was set up in UNR. I'm not very good with Ubuntu so I really don't know my ways around, but it looks like I can at least install UNR and get her computer to feel like a much faster machine. Thanks again for your reply!

Keep in mind that UNR comes as an IMG file that you put on a USB stick. The recommended method to do this is described here -> https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromImgFiles.
