View Full Version : [ubuntu] Reboot after login

Hi all,

I downloaded the ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386 image and wanted to try it out as a virtual machine on my MacBooc 10.5. I am using Parallels to create the VM.

The installation seemed to go fine. I boot to the login screen. But, as soon as I login, the VM seems to reboot and I end up right back at the login screen. I am brand new to Ubuntu and haven't tred any Linux in years, so I don't even know how to begin to investigate this issue.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Tom

Hmm..the vm software itself reboots? Any errors? Try making sure that your ISO is working properly by burning it to a disk and booting to it live.(Just make sure not to install,...unless you want too) If it boots up sounds like a VMware problem, if not, then theres your problem and you probably need to redownload it.
