View Full Version : [SOLVED] Kernel Panick after Jaunty install

Hello,

I upgraded to Jaunty a couple of days ago, and it went through very smoothly. After the reboot, everything was working fine.

Then I had to open up my computer to remove a PCI USB2 controller. After this, it will not boot anymore. I consistently get a kernel panick .... Below are two screenshots (literally) of the kernel panick, the first one on normal boot, the second on recovery mode boot....

Of course, I tried putting the USB controller back in, to no avail.

Thanks for any help

Well, it looks as if it is a hardware issue. I burned an install CD for 9.04 and it gives me a similar kernel panic. Vista install DVD gave me a blue screen as well.

I thought it might be related to Jaunty since it happened twi days after I installed it...

I will keep you posted
