Trying to log into Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop with a valid username/passwd. it's hanging at the password, no errors, nothing .. just sits there. So <cntrl> <alt> <f2> and logged in with my username.
I can log in successfully, however, this is the error I am getting.

I know I modified some startup items, and possibly mounted a virtual dev and/or nfs volumes when they really did not exist to mount in the first place. I used Webmin to make the changes, so I can pretty much remember the ones I changed via Webmin, however, I need to know what file is written that contains the boot load instructions so I can possibly modify the file and remove the "load at boot" stuff I added ...

Can anyone help?

thx a bunch
