When I look into my mouse settings, it says it has detected a Mac compatible mouse...not a touchpad.

Any ideas? I use the vertical scroll a lot...

Also, I am more than willing to post logs of anything that helps get this resolved. I have tried Ubuntu in the past, but I am still very new to all of this.

Just a little bump. Only thing aside from my stylus right click not working from keeping me from a total switch.

hey-- i do not have a latitude (i have a compal fl92) but my symptoms are the same: after installing jaunty, i thought i had lost vertical scrolling on the right side of my touchpad.

i found out after hunting a bit that it was there all along: you scroll with two fingers. it did not take me long to like it. (now the even occasional confusion on the pad is gone...) man oh man i don't stop diggin ubuntu.

hope that helps.

Still no joy on the pad. Still sees as some kind of mouse and not a trackpad. I can provide any other needed infor is someone tells me how to harvest it.

Thanks!
