Well I am trying to stay on the edge of Ubuntu development so I upgraded to 9.04 Beta about 2 weeks ago. I have 8 gigabytes of RAM installed in my system and Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex utilized all of it, but Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope only recognizes 3.2 Gigabytes. I have waited until the official release of 9.04 came out because I thought maybe that would fix it. What is wrong and what can I do to fix this?

Either install the x86_64 version (if your CPU is a 64bit) or 32bit server kernel if you want to use all your RAM.

Is the AMD Phenom Black edition a 64bit processor? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I should probably know about my system.

Yes. Go for the x86_64 Jaunty then.

Thanks, I will do that.
