install kubuntu after installing ubuntu

hi, i want to know how to install KDE from the kubuntu CD (9.04) on after just installing ubuntu.right now i used the "add CD-ROM" option but it's still downloading the packages form the Internet,any way to force it to use the CD?

Well, as per the directions in the kubuntu upgrade install (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/JauntyUpgrades/Kubuntu), looks like you can only upgrade with the alternate Cd.

You could always use the CD to install it on top of Ubuntu, but that would erase the Ubuntu install.

thanks :) ,but i wonder why doesn't the live-cd work in the same way :confused:
