Fellow Ubuntuers,
I can't install or update my system any more. I get the following error message. When trying to open the file "debianutils.list" it returns the same error message as below.

I get the same with 9.04 and Linux ubuntu 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:58:03 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux (I'm using ext3), but I get a sligthly different error message when I do:
$ sudo apt-get install php5-cli
I get:
...

This is my story:
First I upgraded from 8.10. After a while I got strange problems. Everythings just freeze and I'm forced to run fsck next boot. (One time it didn't even boot, so I had to use the rescue disk, and another time my home directory was rescured in the lost+found) Naturally I suspected that my hard drive where going to die, so I bought a new bigger one and used ddrescue to copy the whole drive to the new one. But the thing is that the problems still persist with the new drive. (OS-related?) Today I was'nt even able to install new package (got the error above) but I think this has to do with some file beeing corrupt, a strace reveals:
