View Full Version : What does sourceforge's message mean?

I just got this message about how souceforge is going to split into 2 sites (or something like that). And is going to have one for software development, and one for consumption. Consumption? What is this? Could someone explain this to me?

Consumers, the people looking for cool/good applications to try out.

Thank you! ^.^

Seeing as the topic's finished, allow me to derail it masterfully :)

Consumption can also refer to Tuberculosis, a really unfortunate disease of the lungs.

So parsing that definition into the SourceForge statement, we can assume that Sourceforge has placed their second section of their website under quarantine to keep Tuberculosis at bay.

You're welcome :)

Swine flu, tuberculosis, and bird flu, oh my!

EDIT: yeah, that probably wasn't worth bumping the thread for, so here's a real comment:
Sourceforge looks about the same to me. Are you saying that they're spinning-off a sort of web 2.0 endgadget thingy?
