Hi everyone,

I installed Intrepid using the server distribution and then installed ubuntu-desktop on top of it. Should I upgrade using the server procedure (sudo do-release-upgrade) or the desktop procedure (Update Manager)? Does it make any difference?

Thank you,

Mauricio

I upgraded using the server method even though i installed desktop edition.

Main reason- wanted to use terminal, and terminal upgrading/installing is much faster than doing it graphically.
I don't think there is a difference between the two methods.

Jaunty works great! If you use the graphical way it might be a slower upgrade.

Ok, I'll use the terminal method then. Thank you.

In case it helps anyone, I upgraded using the server method and everything worked smoothly. Thank you Shark1997.
