Good evening - can anyone offer assistance to a new Ubuntu user?
I have a HD version Acer Aspire One and I am (fairly) successfully running 8.1.
My only issues are that
a) the wireless will not resume after hibernate / suspend and
b) the card slot readers do not work ( is not a big loss).

I would like to try 9.04 NBR to see if it gives a better experience and especially if it addresses problem (a)
At present I can dual boot to either Ubuntu or Linpus - useful if I want a quick boot and guaranteed wireless performance. I want to retain this functionality.

Questions:
[B]1) I have downloaded and put 9.04 onto two different USB sticks using the method described to install - ImageWriter etc. The AAO does not seem to 'see' the USB to boot off. I still get the usual BIOS dual boot screen inviting me to choose which version of Linux to use, even when the USB stick is available to boot off.
What do you suppose I am doing wrong?

2) If I can resolve (1) above is it possible to retain the dual boot functionality?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts, Steve W. Nicosia, Cyprus

As shame that no one seems to be able to offer thoughts on this...
