View Full Version : [gnome] Placing your wallpaper "to the right"?

Hi,

I recently kicked windows off my box and started using Ubuntu for desktop purposes.

I am very impressed with the general feel of Ubuntu these days, but naturally I have a little question.

The thing is this, I have a TV hooked up to my computer. The TV is not always on, so my desktop alternates (unfortunately not auto-magically, but that is a later issue) between 3600x1080 and 1680x1050 in resolution.

On the bigger resolution my background image (as you can all realize these are really serious issues) gets all scrambled. It is only made for one of my screens.

A solution I figured out would be kind of simple is to just position the wallpaper "to the right" as that would place it on my primary screen no matter if the TV is on or not, but I have been unable to find a way to do this.

Anyone have any ideas for me?
