You know, have you noticed a dramatic increase in the quality of the ubuntu audio system in Jaunty.

It used to be that I had to close firefox if it had made any sound, to run any video files (do to flash), unless I wanted to set up my own sound server.

But now, I can just play audio files, and have firefox open at the same time. Infact, I think I can have both flash using audio, and totem using it as well. This is awesome (it's really sad that I think something this basic, and that should have been in it all along is awesome).

Haha! I think this was PulseAudio teething troubles that have been mostly worked out by now. When PulseAudio was first introduced (8.04?), I had some problems as well so I used to simply switch back to ALSA from the sound menu.
