How to disable spinning busy cursor?

Hello All,

In gnome, I'd like to disable all animation of the mouse cursor (such as the spinning effect when a process is busy). How can I do this?

responding to my own post: there are many cursor styles online for download. by searching for "classic" i found one that was simple enough to not have the spinning effect.
