trouble installing 9.04 on hp g70-213em

i've recently tried to dual boot ubuntu 9.04 with vista on my hp g70-213em.

the installer won't get past 75 percent either by using live cd or live usb created with unetbootin,

any suggestions?

the error that it crases states that there is a problem copying files to the hdd due to burn error or hdd error. but because i get the same error when i use a bootable usb i don't think that the prooblem is with my installer media.
