Cons: AMD hasn't made drivers for their ATI cards to work with the OS

Say what?

And the Open Source driver gets better all the time.

No ATi driver?

I hate it when articles get stuff wrong.

Me too, now that it's been released the correct name is 9.04 and the term "Jaunty" should not be used.

The ATI drivers suck horribly at the moment. Everything has a 2 sec delay for me. My lame Geforce 6200 even outperforms my ATI 3470 on a high end laptop, wtf? lol

I don't think I've ever called a release by its number...

This looks more like a blog post than an actual news article, especially with the frequent use of first-person speech.

I'd say it's more like a blog but positive coverage is positive coverage :]

It's not a blog - it's in the newsprint version of the paper as well as the online edition -

Unusually prominent, in fact, for anything GNU/Linux...

So have you ever used Windows Chicago, Windows Memphis, Windows Whistler or Windows Longhorn?

I'm going to guess he'll say no, but because of what's in red, not what's in blue.

This guy sounds more like a fanboi than a real journalist. He's practically drooling all over the column space he was given.

Why can't we get any real credible journalism for Ubuntu?

Because any journalist who trashes Ubuntu gets flamed on this forum?

There was actually a /. article about that... "Linux needs Critics"
