Ok. I have been using Ubuntu since 8.10. I tried it back in version 6 .. but i had issues and only just returned.
The WUBI thing is a great idea and i am becoming impressed with the developments in Ubuntu enough to want others to try it.
I have friends with Families in trouble with virus's in Windows OS.
I really need some one to help me find the best distro for them.
I think i would really like it to be UBUNTU or MINT.. but i need help finding one that has the typical OUT OF THE BOX experience i have had in UBUNTU.. I would like it be one that has Codex support for DVD and MUSIC out of the box too.
Some one said MINT was good for that.. and i would only ask because MINT is BUILT ON UBUNTU.

ANY Suggestions would be a great thing. I would like for once.. to install a distro and have the hard ware and monitor Net connection, video DVD , printer and all work with out weeks of hunting for the Work arounds.
They also have a ZUNE, and ITUNES set up for 4 phones.
Got ideas? I am listening.

The link below provides some useful info:

I would actually recommend PCLinuxOS 2009 over Mint for folks used to using MS Windows.

Also, you should check out distrowatch.com. They regularly posts updates to Linux distros and often have short reviews of them.
