Hi,
I just installed 9.04, and it won't accept my username and password to get into it. I am sure of the password, and have tried every username I could think it would be, but it keeps telling me it's wrong. Hopefully this will be an easy one for someone. Is there some way I can get in to change it?
Any help would be awesome.
thanks
sam

Did you try the password in capitals? ;)
And re-installing is not needed: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LostPassword

If you're sure of the password, but not your username, boot into recovery mode. Go to root prompt, then cd /home. do ls and see what the name is.
