Is it possible to upgrade Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 download all the necessary packets to another computer? To update the packages in the system long ago mastered the apt-zip, but how this can be done when updating the entire system? Thank you.

Hi, if you are wanting to upgrading to Jaunty from Intrepid without an internet connection, you can download the jaunty alternate cd (http://noncdn.releases.ubuntu.com/jaunty/) iso from a machine that has internet connection and burn the iso to disk then boot up intrepid and when you have reached the desktop insert the jaunty alternate cd and an option to upgrade should pop up.
