8.10 to 9.04 Will it destroy all my settings ?

I would like to upgrade, but I'm not sure if I will lose my whole setup as I have it now. I use Ubuntu strictly for work and have a very nice setup going with Compiz and Gnome for maximum productivity.

Just wondering if I have to tweak everything from scratch if I choose Upgrade to 9.04 ?

Will I have to re-compile/Install my nVidia drivers?

If it works right, no. Back up your data first before upgading. There are no 100% guarantees that it will.

Before upgrading, remove any proprietary software installed, and make sure that third party repositories that you added are unchecked.
