What (in general) happened at the 9.04 launch party?
This would have been my first meet up.
I was thinking about going but my girlfriend volunteered me to do thing for her grandma.

I've never been at one myself, well, there isn't one near by, as far as I know and I don't wanna fly over somewhere just for that... :D
But from my understanding, of course a little depending on the location, there are seminars about certain aspects of Linux, and probably most important, help to install and try out the new distribution for those who never installed/tried Linux before.
If I will ever happen to be somewhat close to such a party I'll go for sure. Just to meet some people in person.
However, after this:

you have the best possible platform to go to the next one. Maybe you can volunteer you girlfriend to help organize that one. :lolflag:
