well, an easy way of telling you what my problem is is that i installed grub to the partition that ubuntu it's self was installed to. But what i did was i was editing the boot menu, and i accidentally removed all kernel entries, so, now i can not boot into Linux but only windows, my question is how can i reset grub or make it so i can re add the entry, or how can i boot ubuntu 9.04 from the grub command line so that i can get back into Linux change the settings so i can add the entry to the boot loader to be able to boot up ubuntu later on.

Get Supergrub to set up/repair Grub here:

http://www.supergrubdisk.org/

after you have downloaded and created the supergrub disk boot from it then use it to fix grub.

you must read the instructions carefully and understand them, google what you do not understand. You will not hurt anything with this but can get very confused if you do not understand what it does.
