View Full Version : [xubuntu] Boot freeze after system upgrade

I just upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04. Everything seemed to be working fine, except that it didn't automatically reboot. So, I did a manual shutdown, and then re-started. It started fine, then froze when it got to what would normally be the log on screen.

Any ideas on what's wrong?

need to set up screen resolution settings, search here for your vid card and screen to see if someone has already been there/done that they will have the right setting and how to do it already

I have an AMD-751, so no, no one else has reported it already. However, I ran the package repair under recovery mode, and that seems to have fixed things for the most part.

Now, I just can't get the screen resolution to go above 800x600.
