Hi. I'm trying to get an analogue clock in a vertical gnome panel. So far, without much success. But I think I'm coming very close now. My new idea is to use a XFCE-panel superimposed or below the standard gnome panel. See the attached jpg for details.
So now I have 2 panels: A full-height gnome panel where all items have a fixed position and a tiny xfce panel with just the clock.
Now for the question: with my current set-up the xfce panel sometimes get stuck behind the gnome panel and is therefore invisible. How can I fix this? How do I set an exact size and position (pixelwise) for both panels? OR how can I make it so that the XFCE panel is always on top of the gnome panel?
