Hi, I recently upgraded my Ubuntu 8.10 to version 9.04 (64 bit)using the alternate installation CD. After installation I have these issues:
1. Login screen only shows white block, when I move mouse the background appears.
2. After logging in, the screen remains black with only the mouse pointer. If I move the mouse after a while, the menus appear.
3. Selecting items on the menu takes longer to open sub-menus than before.
My configuration as follows:
Intel Pentium D processor
Intel G965GVMK motherboard with onboard Intel GMA-X3000 video.
2GB RAM
19 inch widescreen LG LCD monitor (detected 100% by ubuntu).
Please assist!
