Hello everyone,

I'd like to know a few things about the available choices when manually editing the partitions during the Ubuntu 9.04 installation process.

I intend to install Ubuntu in the free space available, which is the second half of the disk. The first one is occupied by WinXp.
Now, there are several options which make my ignorance pretty evident :
-The Primary/Logical option. What should the Swap space and the Ext3 or Ext4 be for the installation?
-Starting point at the beginning or at the end. I don't know what this does, but I usually choose at the beginning.
-Mounting point. I usually choose "/". I have no idea what results from choosing the other options.

Finally, I normally put the Swap before the Ext partition, does this affect anything?

Thanks for any help :).
