Hi,

I have a question in my mind. Is (KDE <=> Qt) & (GNOME <=> GTK) only?
Is it OK to run (a Qt application in GNOME) & (a GTK application in KDE?
Is there and disadvantages?
Does the application runs smoothly?
Please explain in detail.

Thanks,
Mohammad

1. For the most part yes but by no means in all cases

2. Yes, the police won't arrest you ;) - nor will your programs not work unless you're unlucky

3. The main disadvantage for me is installing the gtk libraries in KDE taking up space but hdd space is quite cheap now. Some say there's a delay in startup but I cannot confirm it on my machine

4. Yes - firefox (about the only gnome app I have here) runs at much the same speed as konqueror and rarely crashes
