Display .rar files first in every folder, disregard sorting

Is it possible to always display .rar files first in every folder?

I'm using the vlc-rar-plugin and I don't want to scroll all the way to find it. I also want to keep sorting my files on "date modified" so I can keep track of the newest files.

I do not mean every rar files but only the .rar file, so I can easly play it in the vlc player.

read the ls man and info files and add aliases to your ~/.bashrc file
it should be able to do what you want.
