Google doesn't have real true answers, I wonder if there will be any updates in kde3 branch?

No I think the KDE team wants people to migrate to KDE 4. So there won't be any 3.6. However KDE 4 is really starting to get usable!

There will be bugfixes, but all new development is going on in KDE4.
