i installed ubuntu 9.04 side-by-side with microsoft windows xp on a half partioned disk and tried it out some, i tried to get java and think i failed. so i thought i shut it down and try again later

now when i start it up and select ubuntu, the screen does some linux things, and then go blank, nothing happens at all, even after 5 mins

is there a way to remove all of ubuntu and try again?
help?:(

How did you install Ubuntu, inside of Windows, or on a separate partition, in other words did you boot from the LiveCD in order to install Ubuntu?

i removed ubuntu and tried install again, it seems to be working, once in a while it may freeze at start up, but fine for now

basically, probelm solved
