Fast user switch applet: customizing Shut Down/Restart program?

Hi,

is it possible to change the program which is called at the 'Shut Down' resp. 'Restart' entries of the fast-user-switch-applet?
Unfortunately the entries from 'gdm.conf-custom (RebootCommand=, HaltCommand=) are not honored, although they work perfectly on the login-screen.
