No question here, just a report on my installation experience. I just upgraded from Hardy Heron to Jaunty Jackalope by doing a clean install from the Live CD.

In my previous installation, my root partition was ext2, and my /home partition (which I did not reformat) was ext3. I decided to try making my root partition an ext3 partition. When I tried to boot, grub would not boot, and it gave me Error 2.

I tried reinstalling with my root partition as ext2, and the system booted without any problems.
