I've used it and it is AWESOME!!!!!!!! I have an intel graphics card, and experience almost no slow down at all! I do have a question though, how do you get that 3d desktop effect? I tried enabling all the desktop effects, like 3d cube, 3d windows and stuff. When I press the combination for the cube, and drag the mouse, the screen is like really thing, not the 3d cube.

kinda like what this person is doing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J75rEL3m00E&feature=related

Oh, didn't you know? Compiz Fusion was only a stopgap name used when Beryl was back into Compiz, and as of a couple months ago, it no longer formally exists. It's just plain ol' Compiz now.

It's thin because you don't have enough workspaces to have a cube. You need 4 workspaces to get the cube. Bottom right corner next to the trash can are the workspaces. Just right click on one of them and select preferences. Change the columns from 2 to 4 and you are good.

i used to have a roommate that was a serious programmer/network administrator guy. he would have about 15 desktops open at once and have all his screens full of open applications. he had the "cylinder" plugin (before it was official) so it looked so freekin amazing spinning around his massive cylinder of 50+ open programs.

of course, he was running dual quad-core CPUs and 2 video cards with an insane amount of memory and dual widescreen monitors... it makes me drool just remembering his rig.

theres so many options on CCSM (compizconfig settings manager). you'll keep yourself occupied for hours and hours... have fun!
