Hi, I'm on Ubuntu 8.10 and I was trying to install 9.04 on my USB stick.

I did the job using System->Administration->Create a USB startup disk, with no further problems, and when I try to boot from USB, I get a menu like this:

I can move with the down and up arrow but when I select an option with ENTER, nothing happens. In fact, the computer stops responding!

I tried doing all over again a few times and there is always the same problem (before every new try, I deleted the partition and created a new FAT 32 one using GParted).

What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem with my 1gb stick using the usb startup disk creator.
Bios is set up boot from USB ZIP and same issue after setting it to USB FDD.
