I just updated from 8.10 to 9.04, and notice that things are going much slower, just on the edge of it getting annoying. If I for instance switch to a desktop containting a 'konsole', first the entire window appears grey for half a second and the title bar buttons etc are built up, then the client area is shown. Entire operation takes about one second. So when cycling through desktops this is really annoying. To try and speed things up I disabled all desktop effects, but it doesn't matter much. I don't think I'm using a very old slow computer (packard bell bg 46 notebook with 3Gb memory). Is there something I can do about this (apart from reverting to fvwm2)?
