I just installed Ubuntu Netbook remix on my computer and it's great. However, I do not like graphical login screens and prefer my systems to boot to a command line, and allow me to run startx if I want to finish booting. In this way I can take notes or modify files etc. without booting a graphical desktop.
Does anyone know how I would go about doing this? If it was a normal ubuntu installation, I would just apt-get remove gdm.
