Rollback?

Ok, it looks like Jaunty Jackalope isn't gonna work too well on my computer, so I've decided I'm gonna roll back to 8.10. What do I need to do to take off 9.04 and install 8.10 in it's place? I'm currently running it as a dual-boot with windows XP, so is there a way to remove the partition Ubuntu is on, or will this not be necessary?

You would need to do a clean install and when you get to the partitioning stage choose "manual" then reset the mount point for / and tick the box to format the partition. Make sure you have backup all your stuff first.
