Hi. I upgraded to Jaunty and I'm having a problem with my sound. Whenever I switch users (whether in the panel app, gdmflexiserver -c SET_VT shenanigans, or just plain old ctrl-alt-f8) pulseaudio crashes and I lose sound.

Here's the tricky part. I actually use pulseaudio. My GF and I have separate accounts and we've grown very fond of how switching to another GDM session stops playback of the other account's music. If there's a way to make this happen in alsa or esound, I'll be happy to give it a try, but otherwise removing pulseaudio is not a solution.

Oh yeah, I'm using an emu10k soundblaster and an amd64. I'm pretty sure Jaunty was the first upgrade I did, but I may be misremembering and the machine may have been Hardy before I upgraded to Intrepid. I haven't done much configuring of pulseaudio so far (just simultaneous output to my sound cards as default).

Thanks!
